Busy times...

I don’t think either of us are afraid to admit that we have both been exhausted this week. I’ve never wanted to sleep as much as I want to just now, listening to our bodies is so important. So I think we both plan on having an extremely chilled weekend with our families to recover from an extremely busy start to the year .

If I’m honest it’s the most stressed I’ve felt in a year, the build is coming to an end and we are trying to tie up some decisions and make sure they all align at the same time.  So making sure the Electrician is in at the same time as the BT man, the man who’s doing the TV is talking to the electrician man, the builder needs the plumber to finish before installing the kitchen, builder needs the bricky to finish so he can get a move on with the Astro turf and outdoor area and the gas was delivered when it shouldn’t have🤦🏻‍♀️ -            It’s exhausting just thinking about it let alone dealing with it, but if we can get through a pandemic and a new build then we can do anything 😊-  It’s all brand new for us and apart from just this one stressful week, it’s been such a cool learning experience to be involved in.

February has seen us start our chilli 🌶 challenge.  We hope you have enjoyed picking the levels and trying a different level each week to test yourself !  We have been so impressed by the feedback, seeing some of you out running for the first time in years is truly inspiring .  A member was asking me the other day if I felt she was over training ?! I’ve said it in a previous post and I will say it again, This year is not the year to be giving ourselves a hard time. If doing a morning class, followed by a run and then an afternoon walk is mentally seeing you through this lockdown, then go ahead and do it.  What is wrong with doing something that is making you happy and keeping you sane?  If you really fancy a glass of wine or some chocolate, then go for it,  you want to train twice a day then go for it - Do what makes you happy right now during this lockdown.

Training more will of course increase the risk of picking up a possible injury or niggle so listen to what your body is telling you, and rest when it tells you to, and if you are worried about injuries or do have a slight niggle then head on over to our on demand TV on our app and hear what our expert physio Louise has to say about training with an injury .

We are looking forward to putting you through our February fitness test on Saturday - and you may have seen on social media a little snippet of some new member treats that you will all be receiving at some point soon 😜

Have a lovely weekend everyone xx
